Panel - Impact of Digitalization

At the 25th LiZ Forum on May 13, 2025, in Schlieren, Ivan Bütler, co-founder of Compass Security and Hacking Lab, participated as a panelist in a discussion on the impact of digitalization in the workplace. Alongside Claudia Pletscher (fineminds) and Mario Okle (WEYTEC), Bütler shared insights into the opportunities and challenges presented by digital transformation.
When asked about the necessity of human involvement in an era increasingly dominated by artificial intelligence, Bütler remarked, "From my point of view, humans are less needed in the future". He elaborated on the potential for AI to replace many human tasks, while also acknowledging the new possibilities and learning opportunities that such technologies offer.
Bütler also highlighted the benefits of digitalization, citing examples like e-banking that simplify daily life. He raised questions about the relevance of traditional educational practices in the digital age, pondering whether activities like writing dictations remain necessary when AI tools are readily available.
His contributions sparked thoughtful discussions on the evolving role of humans in a digitally transformed world, emphasizing the importance of adaptability and critical thinking in navigating these changes.
